Interestingly today, June 16 is International Day of the African Child, which according to Global Health Progross was created to commemorate the 1976 Soweto uprising in South Africa & children’s inspirational courage to demand a better future. The lack of access to safe drinking water within a short distance, easing the children & women's work load, is of paramount concern. Diseases & schooling are also very large issues for the region. We are starting with those that were interviewed in 2007 - We continue to be inspired by the incredible work they do to create a healthier planet.

- Kids For Saving Earth: This amazing organization was started by a mother of a young boy who had a passion for the environment, but sadly passed on due to cancer.
