reducing plastic, innovation

-- Quote of the Day --

“…Writing is writing; it is not outlining,
it is not just talking about writing,
it is not discussing character development –
it is like driving at night in the fall with the lights on
you can only see a few feet in front of you
but you can make the whole trip that way.
And that is how I write, and how I think everybody writes.
People who feel that they don’t have the time to devote to it can write that way. Just don’t give up. ”

I find it fascinating how people are coming up with new ways to make technological advancements  greener:

A Japanese beverage company will soon be releasing a lighter 2L plastic bottle (formally 36.2 grams will become 29.8 grams) which means they will consume less plastic per bottle and have less weight involved in the transportation of their products to retailers. It will be interesting to see how a lighter bottle affects refunds at bottle depots.
