Bringing Nature Closer

-- Quote of the Day --

"Man’s heart away from nature becomes hard. "

~ Standing Bear

 -- Nature --

Starting a small garden whether on your windowsill or balcony, a vertical garden on your fence or shed, landscaping along the front steps or starting a back yard garden... bringing nature closer to home is gaining attention - people are really getting into the benefits of having more green near their home or office. Others start indoor gardens with houseplants, herbs and so on. Others still may not have their own property, they don't have a balcony, but they do visit their local parks and trails so they'll volunteer there, clean up litter or help with fundraising events that green their community. Those with a few extra bucks in their pocket can donate trees or support nature related non-profits.

If you scroll through the archives of this blog and of our radio show (see link on the upper right side column of this page) you'll find all kinds of tips on growing a little green inside and outside your home. There's lots of frugal tips too that will help you save a little cash or pick up a copy of our Trash Talk - It's Easy To Be Green series:
